All children advance through the stages of their development and accomplish things at different ages. I introduced my eldest daughter Maria to the alphabet when she turned two, then she started reading about four months later. I don’t know how she did it, but she really began to read sentences. Yesterday was the first day of school and Bianca started pre-kindergarten. She is going to be at school every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, for 3.5 hours, during the mornings. I think Bianca likes having more children in her class this year and she is very excited. There were not as many in her 3-year-old class last year. There were only nine children and all of them were girls. This time there are boys and girls, for a total of 19 children in the class. After a long summer vacation in the Philippines, Bianca has been very excited about to going back to school.
