All children advance through the stages of their development and accomplish things at different ages. Yesterday was the first day of school and Bianca started pre-kindergarten. She is going to be at school every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, for 3.5 hours, during the mornings. I think Bianca likes having more children in her class this year and she is very excited. There were not as many in her 3-year-old class last year. There were only nine children and all of them were girls. This time there are boys and girls, for a total of 19 children in the class. After a long summer vacation in the Philippines, Bianca has been very excited about to going back to school. Yesterday her school had an Open House, for parents and the students, to see their classroom and meet their teachers. There were some papers that we had to fill out and sign, but I let my husband do that. For the past two weeks Bianca and her classmates have been learning about colors. Each week their teacher presents a new theme color. The theme for this week is blue. The teacher has asked parents, if they can, to dress their children to match the assigned color theme. All the parents do their best to be cooperative.
