On Vacation
Good news: I've got an internet connection here but it will take forever for me to get thru on your blogs, I am only using a dial-up connection but it's not fast as I used to have though. I guess, this is really a good vacation and a break for not using the internet, huh?
Tomorrow morning I will be leaving for a vacation with my in-laws in Virginia. I'll be back on January 2, 2007.
I wish everyone a happy new year!

A New Approach
A great start to next year.
I have BIG plans for this coming year. I have a new approach in life. I want to stay focused to those who are positive thinkers, be nice to everyone, and never push myself for people to like me; because each individual is unique and different. People are like ingredients; they add spice to our lives; some are sour, some are hot, some are bitter and some are sweet. If there is a spice that you don’t like, then you don’t have to include it.
I am not an insensitive or dumb person. I can sense people who don't like me; they are only a few among the majority. Yeah only few, 2 or 3 but their power to push you down makes me feel unworthy. As I said, they're like spice, I don’t have to include them.
But best of all, whoever I am, I know I am someone's favorite!

Christmas Break
I am going to take a little break from posting (unless I can't help myself writing). I will be back on the blog after Christmas. So I'm sending my Holiday Greetings a bit early. I hope everyone have a Merry Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! May this holidays be a season of love, peace and happiness to you and all your family.
I’m still here, roaming and reading your blogs, and I will leave some messages.

Best of Nov & Dec 2006
Promise, this is the last photo sharing of my daughter this year. I am just a proud mama who can't resist for not sharing the development and progress of her daughter. Her eyes are dark and intense. I may be biased but I think she is amazing.

Open and Transparent
If you think this is heavy to read, just leave and put a smile on your face.
The memories I had yesterday morning. These are not really clear but at least it gives you an idea.
- Hubby and I had misunderstanding.
- Called a friend, inform her I will drop by to her house.
- Deleted the history of dialed numbers from my phone.
- I told hubby “I want to go now”.
- He said, you take care and have fun.
- Left my phone charging.
- I was broken hearted and crying while I was driving.
- When I arrived at my friend’s house. I had some coffee and we talked. I didn’t tell her that I was depress and hurt, then I left after two hours.
- I arrived home at 10 am.
- Hubby asked, "Did you enjoy your workout?" "Did you sweat a lot?"
To make the story short, we reconciled and talked everything. Even it was corny, but, I let it out what I feel and let him know how much he hurt my sensitive heart. La-la-la...
Everytime we have had a problem like this, we develop a good relationship when the three words are passing between the two of us by saying, "Sorry", "Thank You", and "I Love You".

Crying Without Tears
Thank you so much for all of your valuable opinion, advices and insights from this post "A Mother's Heart", it has helped a lot! I am totally overwhelmed by the messages of commiseration and advices from you all. I am less sad than I was!
Anyway, I think this is funny to read. Lately, my daughter cries like this, I can’t help it but laughing because she sounds like murmuring, she was crying without tears. It would be nice if you could read it louder and give it a rhyme too.
- Awoooh woooh woooh wooh…
Agidi gidi gidi gidi gidi gidi…
Akiti kiti kiti kiti kiti kiti…
Waaaaaa waaaaaa waaaaaa…
Kuto kuto kuto kuto kuto…waaah!
Gudo gudo gudo gudo gudo…

A Mother's Heart
It seems like such a sad topic for me to talk about today. I believe that for most of us parents, there are special challenges everyday with parenting our children. Sometimes I think that I am a good parent, but I am not at all the way I wish I could be.
I have a big question mark in my head; should I spank or not spank my child?
Sometimes, my daughter will cry without any reasons at all. There are some times that I cannot tolerate the fussiness also. Once, to avoid hurting her, I put her in the bathroom without any light, for maybe a minute or two. Of course she cried and screamed really hard.
I regret what I did to her, because I can’t go anywhere by myself; she wants me to be with her all the time. It’s been a week, and she is still scared to be alone. She is also afraid of the dark.
I don’t know how long this trauma will last. I wished I could know what will happen. I wish I had not done that. I wish I could make her forget soon and not worry about the darkness.

Father & Daughter
I don't have much to talk about today because not much has happened yesterday. I guess I am just out of words again, he-he-he. I will try to write more decent and interesting tomorrow.
Down there, you will see pictures of my daughter and hubby when we were in Davao City, Philippines in June 2006. These pictures were taken inside the hotel at the 11th floor and you will see the front building of Ateneo de Davao.

Children Carolers
Ever since I was little, I have loved the caroling on the streets. I think it is such an uplifting, hopeful, joyous experience that always gives me happiness during my childhood days. Well, I figure that I actually still like Christmas songs right now.
The carolers, this is one of the things I miss most in the Philippines. It reminds me, I saw the same faces singing and kept on coming back from our house. And also, they sang the same song every night in every household. The Jingle bells, Ang Pasko Ay Sumapit, Kasadya Ning Takna-a or We Wish You A Merry Christmas. I miss them all!
Hahaha…and even so after singing, the children carolers would say tenk u, tenk u, tenk u, ambabarat ninyo, tenk u!. I don't know how to say it though because they were children but it sounds like this “thank you, you are so selfish”.
How can I forget those happy silly moments when I was one of them! I can only imagine, we were 6 to 10 carolers, but most of the households gave us only 25 cents, 50 cents or 1 peso. And now I am grown up, I would say they were thrifty or kuripot, hahaha.
I share with you all, my favorite Christmas song of all time. Enjoy the sounds of the season.
- Sleigh Ride
- Feliz Navidad
- Deck the Halls
- Jingle Bell Rock
- Frosty The Snowman
- Give Love On Christmas Day
- The Twelve Days Of Christmas
- Santa Clause Is Coming To Town
- I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus
- All I Want For Christmas is my Two Front Teeth

- December 2005 172lbs.
- February 2006 165lbs.
- April 2006 155lbs.
- July 2006 160lbs.
- September 2006 155lbs.

By the way, I have a new workout buddy and I am exicited. We will be working out during the night at YMCA.
For a thought I may have gain this month because of the Holiday season. I will be attending 2 or 3 Christmas parties. The first one will be held on December 9, it’s a Filipino and American Association Christmas Party.
