Pregnancy Cravings
-
The choice of variety of food is very natural and common part of pregnancy. Pregnancy cravings are a little strange too. And also, this is the time when you can eat anything to satisfy your food cravings.
I have to say that my first pregnancy cravings have not been too strange and weird. Morning sickness was not the problem of mine. I loved to eat anything. I have to admit, my pregnancy hormones are making me easier.
In majority, pregnant women have the strong desire for sour delicacies, all they wanted is sour with their foods. To satisfy the cravings; by eating pickles, sour candies and salads may help.
I did have major cravings of sour, like unripe mango from the Philippines. But, how can I get those green mangoes when I was not there? Though, pickles are very common substitute but, I don’t like the taste.
I did experienced eating apple and carrots with salt & vinegar on it, imagining that I am eating green mango.
Ultimately, my second pregnancy is that I am in the Philippines. What I got now is the real sour green mangoes at the backyard of my sister’s house.

So? I could always plant them in a glass house! We got plenty of those in Holland. And besides, with the actual climate changes it is just a matter of time before Holland is a subtropical paradise as well!

@ HAZE:
@ TOTO:
WOW! I think the mango seedlings you have in Holland is different. Mango tree in the Philippines grows in a hot weather and it takes time to culture the tree.
As what you’ve said, “it is just a matter of time”, meaning you can grow the tree for only just a short period of time?
@ MOUSEY:
Asos, totoo ba yan, hehehe.
Happy Easter too Mousey! Nakabalik ka na pala from a long vacation ha.

The mother of my 4 kids did have 4 different eating/drinking priorerties during her pregnancies. The “must haves” were very different – from dark, non-alcoholic beer to sweets.
Thanks for your preg updates.
It seems to develop very well

I do hear a lot of pregnant women craving for sour food. My mom actually didn’t. When she had my Kuya, she’d crave for fruits. When she had me, ulam naman. Haha.
It’s great that you can easily have what you crave for now that you’re in the Philippines. Gawd, I miss green mangoes. *slurpslurp*
