Why is it so hard to lose weight?

Is it true that married women get fat easier than married men?

Well, I think so. As what I have observed, when a woman gets married, she becomes fat. I think only few married women maintain their sexy figure. Ever since the start of my first pregnancy, weight gaining, really has been my problem. Even so, after my second pregnancy, weight gaining is still become a worsening problem.

It has been said, that, you burn 500 calories a day, if you are breastfeeding every 3 hours. When my first child was born, I was breastfeeding but I didn’t lose much weight as I had expected to. I breastfed a little; but, mostly, I was expressing milk by using an electric pump. This only lasted about 5 months until my lactation stopped. And, now, with my second child, I am breastfeeding, without the aid of expressing milk by pumping, and she is 10 months old; and again, I still have not lost much weight.

I believe as we grow older kasi, manay, our metabolism slows down. Thus, we retain fat more than the younger ones.

    Happy weekend, Raq :)

Just keep trying to loose weights. Join a fitness club! Keep yourself busy, eat nothing but organic foods. Think positive! I’ll do the same thing too…I still need to loose a lot and lots of weights.

My husband is more overweight than me but I walk every day. I found that after having my twins it took me 6 months before I had the energy to try to lose weight. Then I went on a strict calorie controlled diet combined with lots of exercise and lost 2 stone. Then the boys started eating ‘proper’ food and I was eating their left overs and joining them in finger foods such as biscuits and crisps – they would have a few and I would have loads. I am now fighting to get that weight off. Good luck with it, if you have the determination, I am sure that you will do it.

gaining weight goes with age daw, but hey you can do something about it. Eat only to fill your stomach, that’s one secret. Next is exercise. spend at least 30 minutes a day. Walking is very good too, and if you wanna dance, it’s even better. You should find the exercise that you really love so it wont be a task. Finding the kind of exercise that you love will make you look forward to it.

If you are breastfeeding, you cannot really go on diet. How else will you get your milk?

Why is it hard to lose weight? Because we live in America – the land of milk and honey…mga pampataba.

Hahaha. Kidding aside, I really don’t know why. Because weight problems don’t only accor with married women. I’m unmarried and I have been gaining weight since I got here. SOOO frustrating.

hi raq, it depend our metabolism and our body. I was only 108lbs when i get marriend, then before get pregnant. I was 115lbs and having my son I was 149lbs goes down to 120 because I was breatfeeding for 8 and half months. I was younger back then. Just last Jan 2008 I lose 10lbs, but my belly still big and my arm. I think i need exercise and eat less rice and pasta

I’m retired, diabetic, celiac, low thyroid. Have been writing down everything that I eat for 4 years straight, exercise mainly 3 days a week for 2 hours but I have exercised 5 days a week for 2 hours, ride bike 3 miles 3 times a day in good weather. It took me over 3 years to lose one pound. That came off 6 weeks after I went on fish, veggies, fruit only (to help with Cholesterol) plus I was taking a 50,000 unit Vit. D pill. I then went on to lose 5 lbs total but again I am at a standstill. I am 5′ 4″ tall and weight 153 but according to my doctor I should weight 145 and I feel I should be at 135 which I was 15 years ago. Oh well.
