Educational Channel

Educational TV channels like PBS Kids and Nickelodeon provide a safe entertainment for children, especially for preschoolers. These TV shows could help them in preparation for a proper school. It’s hard to admit that sometimes I use the television as my baby sitter, but the kind of programming has given me good results with my children. Most of the day, Maria and Bianca are watching television, but I’ll see to it that they can watch educational programming.
Last night my daughter Maria showed me two different colors at the same time. Here is how our conversation went:
Maria: Mom, this is purple.
Me: No Maria that is red and blue.
Maria: Mom, this is green.
Me: No, that is blue and yellow. No matter how I would say no, she kept showing me the different colors that would make black, pink and orange. Then my husband told me that Maria is mixing colors. I know this is funny, but it really shows that I wasn’t a good student. I didn’t know all about the mixing of colors to create another color, but my daughter was telling me what colors to use to make another color. I was testing her to see if she knows the colors of a rainbow; she replied: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet [Roy G Biv].
