This photo was taken about a month ago when we were in Virginia with my in-laws for Thanksgiving. In the Tennessee city, where we live, we do not get much snow. Since I arrived here in 2004, there has been only three times that it has snowed; there is never any accumulation of more than about ½ inch, and the snow always melts very soon afterwards. Anyway, while we were in Virginia for Thanksgiving holiday, I was hoping it would snow, so that my children would be able to see it. Yes, it did snow, but it was not a heavy snow, we had only about 1 inch of snow which melted the same day.

When Maria and Bianca got up late in the morning, the snow had already started to melt away. They were sad and kept saying “where the snow goes mom?” I think the photo looks so dreamy.
