    Bianca’s 2nd Birthday
Two weeks ago, my daughter Bianca turned two years old. It seems like just yesterday that she was born. Looking back with her old photos, she was so tiny and fragile. Now, she is active and healthy. She likes to jump around, climb into things, and she isn’t afraid to try new things. For Bianca: It is a pleasure being your mother. What I love most about you is the ways you make me feel complete. When I am angry with you because you don’t listen, you have taught me how I can control myself, and you make my patience ever longer. You are so funny, and you crack me up, especially, every time, ...

    Big Size for Small People
These days, Bianca likes to wear our shoes and socks; every time, when she puts them on, you will see the expression on her face that it is really nice and pretty on her. She always amazes me every single day. Her personality is starting to develop more and more; because, she does not babble as much now, but she is saying more words and saying them more clearly. ...

Succesful Potty Training in 1 to 3 Days
Two days ago, I started to potty train my 23 month old daughter, Bianca. A week before, she showed signs of being able to potty train. I saw her squat above her toy pot, and it looked like she was wanting to pee. I thought she is ready for potty training. Potty training is really hard. Not all can do this job, though some parents have hired someone to potty train their children. There are some children that do not become potty trained until they reach the age of 3 or 4. When I potty trained my eldest, hubby was helping me; but with Bianca, I have done it alone. During the first day, I almost g...

    Weaning From Breastfeeding
I have had a hard time weaning my daughter Bianca from breastfeeding. I have tried several times, but I always go back. So, I said to myself, ok I will wait until she reaches 2 years old, then whether she likes it or not, I will stop breastfeeding her. Then, I think, I can say that I will be proud and happy with myself, that I have breastfeed my child for up to two years. When she reached 20 months old, I felt like I could not take it anymore; her demand for milk became more frequent. Every time she would see me, she began to cry and wanted to be breastfed. Even though she was filled with soli...

    Introducing the Alphabet Part II
This photo was taken at the studio. After six weeks of introducing the English Alphabet to Bianca, she is continuing to improve. During the first two weeks, she could not cooperate very well, and she would last for only 15 to 20 minutes during our session. At her age, her attention span is too short, and it is hard for her to concentrate. Indeed, patience is a virtue. When I introduced the alphabet to her, I divided it into two sessions. In the morning, I introduced the letters from A to L, and in the afternoon the letters from M to Z. Now she can tell you the sound of every letter in the alp...
