Vacation in the Philippines EndedMy life is back to a normal routine. My vacation in the Philippines ended when I left there on the 27th of July, and my flight ended as I returned home to the USA on July 28. It has now been two weeks since my children and I arrived home from an eight week vacation. My situation there was very overwhelming, but I had a lot help; I hired an all around baby sitter that cooked and washed our clothes. My sisters were always around me too. If I wanted to go to the city, someone would watch over my children. Cooking isn’t easy for me, but I am obliged to cook for my family. Here are some photos t...

Planting TulipsWhen it comes to flowers, tulips are my favorites by far. I find them amazing with all those beautiful colors. They can be red, orange, yellow, purple, and a beautiful mixture of colors. This week my husband and I started cultivating the soil in-front of our house and under the tree. Life Being a SAHMAs a stay-at-home mom, sometimes I am jealous that other moms are working. It wasn’t my dream to become a stay-at-home mom. I told myself, I want to be a career woman that wears an office uniform whenever I go to work; I want to get up early for a shower and live a routine life of taking care of myself. I am also sometimes jealous about the circle of friends that other moms have. My living in the US is completely different than in the Philippines; most of the time, I am always at home and stuck in the house. So, I have no stories to tell, because I have no friends; there is no job for me to ...

Why do I feel guilty for weaning?Yesterday was the third attempts I wean my 12 month old daughter from breastfeeding. The first two attempts was failed. Yesterday for about 10 hours she didn’t gets milk but instead I gave her some juice to drink. She was fussy for the whole day but at around 12 midnight she gave up; she drinks 6 ounces of fresh milk. She is already 1 year old and it’s about time to wean her. The reason I wean her is I am getting exhausting. I can’t go somewhere else because she is so attach with me. Although I feel guilty about it, it is no longer an enjoyable experience for us. I’m afraid that our bo...

Teaching Good Mannershttp://www.uhawbikerz.multiply.com/ As we all know, teaching good manners for our children is very important. My daughter [Maria] knows how to say thank you, you’re welcome, excuse me and please. But there is one thing that I didn’t teach her, like if someone will appreciate her dress/outfit, how pretty she is, they like her hair, eyes, smile and et cetera. In the nursery care at the YMCA, one parent said to Maria that she is very pretty, but my daughter didn’t say anything but smile. So the parent taught her how to say thank you. What I do at home, everyday, I always appreciate my daugh...
